Benjamin Fransham

Actor, dancer, stunt performer, vocal artist, in both studio and independent films,

appearances in television, film and theatre.

 



Soon broadening his tool belt with ballroom dancing, various martial arts, acrobatics and combat training he went on to perform many theatre roles, an early favourite being an evening of Tom Leehrer skits

and notably in film as Charles in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures, The Reaper in The Frighteners, motion capture performer in the Lord of The Rings Trilogy, I Robot , King Kong, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn and The Hobit Trilogy, plus TV work and short films

Ben has continued to enjoy a mix of art house and mainstream acting work, including the role as The Ferryman in The Ferryman, Petyr in Comedy/Horror What We Do In The Shadows and most recently as a demon in the soon to be released Ash Versus Evil Dead


 

Bio
Actor Benjamin Fransham was born in  New Zealand from largely Scottish ancestry.  He demonstrated talent in dance and attended the NZ School of Dance full time Dance Performance course graduating with a Scholarship for a post
graduate third year and going on to tour with Sir John Trimmer and members of the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 1991.

 

After a few years freelancing and nursing a shoulder injury he turned his attention to acting, another subterranean passion, working in Children's Theatre as actor, singer, dancer and puppeteer in The Happy Prince, co-creating the series of hit comedy shows 'Speedos' for the Wellington Fringe Festival, taking on musical theatre roles in Hello Dolly, Melbourne Australia and Bernado in West Side Story.
